The Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants is a leading membership body
that offers an internationally recognized
professional qualification in management
accountancy, which focuses on accounting for
business. CIMA Began life in 1919 as The
Institute of Cost and Works Accountants.
Since then CIMA has grown to become one of
the largest international accountancy bodies
with nine offices, eight branches and 16
contacts around the world, representing
164,000 students and members in 161
countries. A Royal Charter was granted to it
in 1976. CIMA members can use the initials
ACMA with their names.
